Drawing inspiration.

Literally.  I need to make a label for Rocco’s baby quilt!  I KNOW each quilt I make should have a signature patch or label, but I have to admit I’m not particularly good at it.  It makes me feel funny.  Kind of like I’m tooting my own horn or something.  It makes me blush and lower my eyes.  Because this is a family quilt it truly must have a label…

Well, I’ve been stuck.  I wanted the label to have a monkey.  I Googled how to draw a monkey.  Emm, nothing really interested me.  Still NO label.

Then, I was struck with a thunderbolt of inspiration!!!  Right there, on the table was a thank you card from Clark, Hil and Rocco…with a MONKEY on the front!!!  Serendipity, don’t ‘cha think?!

I hoped to finish the label last evening, but Scott had sharpened the kitchen knives, unbeknownst to me.  No stitches required, but I did have a leaking band-aid.  Family is one thing, but ‘blood of my blood’ is taking it to a whole other level.  So, I plan to finish that label tonight…before Jamie Oliver is on!

Happy TGIF!!!

Piecefully, Pam
