Steam Driven

by Lynne Pillus

I had posted another of Lynne Pillus’ quilts from Houston in a previous post, Farm Truck – Retired.  I REALLY appreciate her artistic eye, skillful use of fabric and clever application of color.  I like the motion in this quilt.  I hope you enjoy this one too?!

Just Sing…Sing a Song

by Tom Russell

This shouts SPRING!!! to me!!!  How ’bout you?!  ; )  I love the glitzy chicks, and the quilter’s subtle use of guitar fabric.  Neat-o play on a theme, huh?  Enjoy!

And, I need to apologize.  I had the Just Sing…Sing a Song title and artist info confused with this one, but I’ve got it straightened out.  Thanks for your patience.

P.S.  Thanks Quilt Mamas for a delicious evening.  (Cathy we MISSED you!!!)  : P  And, here’s looking forward to tomorrow!!!

In The Beginning

by Patt Blair

Isn’t this an interesting quilt?  I am intrigued by her use of color, balance and subject.  This is not something I would think of interpretting into a quilt, but love the playful vulnerablity of this piece…  Your thoughts…?

Our weather is nice enough that the neighborhood kids have been OUTside this week!!!  Yesterday evening, while walking Jingle, a little girl was out with her Dad and they were using sidewalk chalk!  ; )  Another, had set up a lemonade stand.  Which reminds me…I need to take along some money for this evening’s walk.  ; )

Tomorrow is the ‘official’ start of Spring AND it’s National Quilting Day.  I hope you can enjoy BOTH!

Over on Karen’s blog she’s posted about her recent trip and has a photo of an iguana.  I saw this quilt photo in my Houston file and thought I’d post it.  Do you think she’ll see it?!  Then, I noticed the maker of this Iguana quilt is the same maker of the Carrot Farm quilt from my previous post.  Hmmm, I couldn’t do that again if I tried!  Enjoy this one.  ; )

Perhaps this will help me to think tropical and overlook our recent snowfall.  We’ve gotten some 70, that’s SEVENTY!, inches of snow this Winter…  Keep warm and have an excellent weekend!
