It has been ages since I’ve posted! User names, passwords, speed, social media, ease and time seem to be my deterrents. You?
Life has been continuing, relatively peacefully and piecefully, here. 2014 was a blur of challenges and change, and now 2015 is marching towards its close. I thought I’d try my hand at updating my blog and writing a bit of what has been happening this year.
I take Jingle to the Beach nearly every day. It may be a Delaware bay beach or a beach along the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a time of beauty, marvel and balance in my day. After a steady 4+ years of this, I continue to think to myself while walking, “I could do this every day…”, and then I smile, because I can do it every day. This is still my dream come true!
Scott and I have recently welcomed a feisty kitten into our home. Her name is Pixie! She is true to her name… Jingle is more tolerant of her than we ever imagined possible.
We welcomed many family and friends throughout 2015 and enjoyed sharing our home with them. It’s felt good to slow down and bit, catch our breath and spend time with those who are important to us and we love. We are expecting a new neice close to Christmas/the New Year! : )
I have been participating in a local Modern Quilt Guild for several years now, and we collectively made the decision and commitment to join the National Modern Quilt Guild. Tomorrow will be our very first meeting as an “official” Modern Quilt Guild! It’s been an exciting and educational experience!!! I have agreed to be their Web Maven…so this blog post was also spurred-on by that.
I have been doing some sewing too! I finished my Harborview quilt, have made blocks for the monthly MQG Queen Bee project, contributed to charity projects through our Guild, there have been some sock monkeys, baby quilts and of course, hand appliqué too.
I will close this post with a smattering of 2015 photos…
