I was

crying on the way home from Market.  It was SO wonderful!!!  More than I had dared to hope or even dream.  : )

You know how sometimes when you imagine something…in your mind you make it BIG and GRAND?!  Then, when that dream becomes a reality you’re disappointed?  ‘Cause it wasn’t “all that”?  When what you’ve dreamed up doesn’t equal reality, and it’s a let down?!

Last Saturday morning, we walked to the local Farmer’s Market.  It was AWESOME!!!  Fresh churned butter!  Really?  I had never seen that before! Home made yogurt with cornstarch as a thickener, and NO sugar?  Sweet little bouquets of seasonal flowers.  And, the BEST bagels I have EVER eaten.  All this AFTER walking Jingle ON THE BEACH!!!  Tears of absolute blissful dream-come-true JOY!!!  And guess what, we get to do it again.

Momma Barb is coming for a Beach visit this weekend!!!  Need I say more…?!?!?!  ; )  Plus, we will get to see Clark, Hil and (best of ALL) that baby Rocco too!!!

While it might not be Breakfast at Tiffany’s.  There is NO place in the world I’d rather be.  ; )  Here’s what our new little space looked like for breakfast on Saturday morning…

Thanks for dreaming with me and supporting me while I dreamed!!!  I couldn’t have done it without you.  And, take it from me, dreams REALLY CAN COME TRUE!!!

Making our own

choices.  That’s what Scott and I have done.  For those who know me, have been following along or are asking questions…here’s the story.  For the past 18 months my job has been a roller coater ride.  Due to the economy, my position is about to be eliminated.  Scott and I have always said, “If anything happens to either of our jobs that will be the impetus to move to the Beach.”  However, I have heard my Mom tell me for 46 years, “You can’t live at the Beach.”  And the litany of reasons would follow.

Brave or stupid…?!  Knowing that at the end of 2010 I will be out of a job we took the risk and bought a home at the Beach.  Smart or crazy…?!

We have looked, hunted and researched for the past 5+ years.  Which Beach? How far south?  Where?  How close is too close?  How far is too far?

Eventually, the Beach home will become our primary permanent residence.  This is a BIG investment!!!  Financially and otherwise.  We tried to be educated smart consumers.  Quite honestly, it took a LOT of moxy and hutzpah to make this commitment!!!

So, we decided to turn a bad situation around.  Use it to our advantage.  And make wise and calculated decisions based on ALL the data we had collected.

That said, I was offered a new job.  : )  Locally!!!  Didn’t see THAT coming.  At least I know I can make a mortgage payment now.  So, we will be staying local, butwe have a home at the Beach.  NEVER in a million years did I believe anything like this could happen.  But, guess what?  It DID!!!  And, we’re NOT telling my Mom.

Thank you to everyone who has said a prayer, sent an encouraging word and supported me during my mysterious posts.  Now that the work thing has been resolved, I am able to share what’s been going on in our home.  Hugs and love to each of you.  Truly!

Hey!  Thanks for the Etsy info.  I will investigate further, and I am looking forward to it.  : )  I really appreciate your comments and emails.  You each were a help.

The wool sort of worked.  Well, it wasn’t a raging failure.  I think with some different kinds of wool, more experience and some experimenting it may be quite fun.  I will definitely try it again.  Sometime.

We are continuing to keep our fingers crossed and are chanting a mantra of + juju and good thoughts.  We did get GOOD news yesterday.  HoOrAy!!!  Lots of balls in the air…

Meanwhile, I’ve been finding time to stitch.  Stitching brings me sanity and balance.  Stitching is SEW necessary!!!  I sewed some of my Roseville Album pieces that had been glued in place.  I’ll soon be ready to add more.  Here’s what it’s looking like!

Enjoy your day.  May stitching bring some balance to your life as well!  ; )

Hmmm.  Looking at that top bird…is he too flamboyant?! I can not decide if the tail and wing fabric is just too much?  Maybe a striped tail and solid colored wings instead…

Kool-aid, wool, and

Etsy.  Hmmm…?!

Have any of you dyed wool using Kool-Aid?  Look at this color chart!  Don’t they look sumptuous?  I think I’m going to give it a try…

OK.  Etsy?  I know NOTHING about Etsy.  Not how to use it.  Not what’s on it.  Nothing.  I have been to the Etsy website, more than once, and feel completely overwhelmed.  How do I educate myself about Etsy?  Any help you care to offer would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

This is our “new” old front door – distressed, and with the addition of new hardware and a Plink curtain.  ; )  I did decide to leave the interior of the door aqua!!!

Hmmm.  What do you think…?!

The colors

of Mother Nature can be SEW inspiring…

We are still holding.  I’ve not had much time for sewing this week, but amazing colors and designs swirl in my head! How ’bout this butterfly…browns, cream and periwinkle?  On a green background with a magenta accent and just a hint of gold?  Wouldn’t those colors look great in a quilt…?

Well, happy Friday to you! Enjoy your weekend.  We’re looking forward to what next week may bring?!

We are holding on

to our dream.  It’s been quite the roller coaster ride.  It is our hope, that when this ride stops, we’ll be somewhere not too far from here…

Prayers.  Patience.  Strength. Belief.  We have been waiting a lifetime.
